Allâh ta`âlâ said : { إِنَّ الصَّلاَةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَّوْقُوتًا } [sôurat An-Niçâ’] which means: « Certainly the prayer was prescribed for believers in his time ». It is a duty to check the times of prayers by observation and it is not enough to rely on a schedule based on the simple calculation.
Sunnah Compass – Determine the Qiblah Correctly

How to Use/Important Notes:
1) Calibrate your phone using a figure-eight motion
2) If available, enable GPS
3) Place your phone on a flat surface far from metallic objects
4) Align your phone with surrounding geography or allow the magnetic sensor to self-align the phone
5) Sunnah Compass will show you the direction of the Qiblah relative to your position
6) Additionally, Sunnah Compass will show you the geographical position of the Sun during the day and the North Star during the night. Use these to increase the accuracy of your determination.

This app will display the direction to the Qibla on a map. When you click on my location button, it will zoom in to your location and display the direction. It will also display the number of degrees from North, which can be used on a real compass. You can also click anywhere on the map to view the directions for various locations.
